Winter Activities 

  • Blanket Drive- January and February

Help us blanket the local community with new blankets.

 

Please bring 25 cards to Feb 9th Community Service Meeting

 

  • WI AFL-CIO Community Service Conference- 

Please nominated a person or group for the community service awards. 

 

  • Coordination of volunteers for additional repairs at Walkers Point Center for the Arts 

Planning a walk through to discuss the flooring and possible painting

 

  • Labor maintaining the lobby items at the Family Service of Waukesha- C.A.R.E Center (The Big Yellow House)   https://www.fswaukesha.org/

Items needed can be new or lightly used:   

Coloring books & Crayons, Puzzles (100 pieces and under)

View Masters and Pictures for view masters

Etch a sketch, and Magna Doodles

Games: Candyland, Sorry, Trouble, Don’t break the ice, Life, 

Shutes and Ladders, Kerplunk, Uno Card Game

Child therapists need therapeutic games ranging in price from $20 to $40. These must be purchased through professional catalogs.  A monetary contribution directed for “therapeutic games” would be appreciated and utilized for such purchases.

  • Blood Drive in March 26th @ SMART 18 11am-5:30pm.  A 2nd union location is also in the works for March………. more information to come!

 

Spring

  • Community Service Conference of the AFL-CIO- March 21st & 22nd 
  • Earth Day Clean Up--- 2 sites MKE/Oak Creek---Sat, April 20th
  • Health and Hygiene Drive (in coordination with Mary Lou‘s closet)- April-June 
  • Volunteer Appreciation Meeting - April 23rd 6pm  
  • Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive with Letter Carriers and UFCW- May 11th
  • Coordination of Union Members & retirees to sort food at The Salvation Army
    • May 16th 2 hour shifts from 9am – 4pm
  • Coordination of volunteer to build Free Little Library
  • Prepare for  the Waukesha County Fair July 17th-21st
