The people of the 7th Congressional District have been without representation in Congress since last September when Sean Duffy resigned. Zunker is the daughter of a proud USW member and a union member herself. She knows strong unions are an essential underpinning of a healthy economy. She will work to strengthen and protect the rights of all working people in office. Zunker’s opponent, Tom Tiffany, is a close ally of Scott Walker. He has a clear anti-union record. While in the legislature he voted to strip Wisconsin workers of collective bargaining rights by voting for Act 10 and so-called Right to Work. Tiffany also wants to repeal prevailing wage Davis-Bacon laws which would lower wages for Wisconsin workers.
