We are quickly approaching the most consequential election of our lifetime on November 3, 2020 and America is facing an unprecedented poll worker shortage. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact communities across the country, there has been a sharp decrease in the number of people who are able to work the polls on Election Day. This threatens the number of polling places that can remain open and could easily create long lines.

If you are able, sign up today to work the polls on November 3, 2020 at:  https://www.workersfirstvoteunion.org/power-polls

Union members are fighting to save our democracy and are stepping up in large numbers to work the polls. The AFL-CIO is proud to partner with Power the Polls to recruit poll workers to ensure a safe, fair election for all voters.

As America’s labor movement holds our country together during a pandemic, we also must safeguard our election process.

Will you help us address our nation’s critical poll worker shortage? You can help make sure we have a safe, fair, efficient election for all voters, and potentially get paid to do it. Sign up to Power the Polls today.

Once you’ve signed up, depending on your jurisdiction, you will either be contacted by Power the Polls, a partner organization, or your local election administrators regarding your application.

When there aren’t enough poll workers, voting locations close and lines can stretch for hours. Help your neighbors vote and keep democracy going with union #PowerthePolls.
