Solidarity with UAW Local 1472 Workers on Strike at Vollrath

Update: On April 8, 2022 members of UAW Local 1472 voted and approved a new union contract ending a five-day strike. 

Wisconsin AFL-CIO Stands in Solidarity with UAW Local 1472 Workers on Strike at Vollrath Manufacturing in Sheboygan

On April 4, 2022 over 250 members of the United Auto Workers Local 1472 went on strike at Vollrath Manufacturing in Sheboygan over economic issues critical to working families. Workers of UAW Local 1472 at Vollrath produce deep drawing, metal spinning, metal fabrication, annealing, polishing & finishing and refrigeration systems. UAW Local 1472 are striking over economic issues related to wages and the equitable elimination of tiers.

We urge Vollrath to come back to the table and negotiate in good faith with meaningful proposals to reach a mutually agreeable contract. It’s never easy to go on strike. The brave members of UAW Local 1472 are coming together and taking courageous action to protect and advance good jobs in our local communities across Wisconsin.”
