(MILWAUKEE, September 7, 2020) – Wisconsin AFL-CIO President Stephanie Bloomingdale issued the following statement regarding VP candidate Kamala Harris visit to the IBEW Local 494 Milwaukee Electrical JATC:

“We are honored to have the next Vice President of the United States, Senator Kamala Harris, visit a union training facility in Wisconsin for the IBEW Local 494 this Labor Day,” said Stephanie Bloomingdale, President of the Wisconsin AFL-CIO. “When unions are strong, America is strong. As we celebrate and honor all the working people whose hard work and dedication make our country run, we know we can build back better with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in the White House. Union members are ready to get to work to elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris who will support working people with an economic plan that prioritizes the needs of working families and the creation of good jobs for all. By electing politicians like Biden and Harris who will fight for America’s working class and uplift the labor movement, we can keep making real progress in the fight for a fair economy and a just society.”
